How the Fearless Phoenix got its Name

Hi I’m Genard Alcantara and I’m just new here in blogger. I was amazed by the features of blogger especially when I started blogging. I have discovered that it can be used to publish your own compositions as well as opinions regarding a certain issue. I’ve decided to name my blog as The Saga of the Fearless Phoenix. I have come with different names until I have arrived with the perfect one. Do you want to hear the other names I’ve publish on my blog? Well, this is my story.
When our teacher told us to create our own blog, I then hurried up to my laptop and start signing up. When signed up already, I cannot decide what’s the name I will type in to my blog. It took me an hour to think for a name that may best describe me. The first name that I gave to my blog was Flame Phoenix. But then I wasn’t contented, with the template of my blog so I’ve change it.
I’ve dragged the mouse pointer to the template designer and choose an appropriate template for the title. Since my name is Flame Phoenix, I’ve chose the orange one and add a picture of a phoenix at the header. After two days, I’ve decided to chang e my name again as well as the template. I’ve now named my blog as The Saga of Genix with a blue template. Saga means adventure and the word Genix was taken from my favourite anime show that I watched every morning and besides it sounds just like my name. But there’s a problem again, I cannot decide what to describe my blog’s name.
Another day comes then I ran off to my laptop and sign in to blogger. It took me an hour again to decide what description would fit for my chosen title. I type in “the blog for you to see by Genard Alcantara of IV-SCIENCE “to the blog’s description. I thought I was already done repairing my blog including the name, description and added some gadgets.
Two days before the submission, I’vechange my name to The Saga of the Fearless Phoenix with a description of “the other side of the story by Genard Alcantara of IV-SCIENCE.”  Then I’ve never change my template to blue because I think it’s the perfect one for my blog.
I have created this blog not for myself only but instead I’ve dedicated this blog for my Scyber Phoenix Family also known as my IV-SCIENCE Family. Since it’s our last two months, I’ve decided to dedicate this to my Scyber Phoenix Family by publishing the special moments we’ve all shared for the past four years. I know that I would not find anyone like them when I step in to my college year, so I would be only one to support myself next year.
I’ve decided to name my blog as The Saga of the Fearless Phoenix so that everytime I’ve heard or see the name phoenix appearing in my blog, I will remember them for the rest of my life.
High School life is the best years an individual experienced in his/her life. But still. I’m looking forward for another precious moments when another chapter of my life will start when I step in to my college year.

Being a Responsible Netizen

Being a Responsible Netizen
Through the use of the internet, man has enjoyed its wonderful benefits and it also helped in dealing with researches. Internet also aids everyone to meet and greet other people through social networking like the worldwide famous Facebook. It helped some people to be famous through the use of Youtube while researching; there is the Wikipedia and many other sites for the answers you were looking for. But as an internet user, or what we call as a netizen, what are his responsibilities when he is surfing the net?
As a netizen, you should not abused the net and conserve your energy wisely. Remember, if you were just chatting for a very long time and opening other sites again and again, you were just wasting your time a d wasting energy at the same time. Abusing the net for self-satisfaction is not good for an individual. It sometimes cause an addictive feeling of using the internet for a long time and may cause eye defects. Use the internet wisely for educational purposes only. You can still chat and play games but minimize your time on those activities.
A netizen should be aware of the advertisement that just pops up when you visit a certain site on the net. Sometimes these advertisements are fake so don’t entrust yourself easily. Other advertisements contains downloads that may cause your computer to be infected by malicious programs that can destroy your system files.
A netizen should follow the rules of the netiquette. A good internet user obeys the rule of the netiquette when using the net. Here are some of the rules a netizen should consider.
The rules are: Remember the human; Adhere to the same standards of behavior online that you follow in real life; Know where you are in cyberspace; Respect other people's time and bandwidth; Make yourself look good online; Share expert knowledge; Help keep flame wars under control; Respect other people's privacy; Don't abuse your power and; Be forgiving of other people's mistakes.
Remember the human. When you communicate electronically, all you see is a computer screen so you don't have the opportunity to use facial expressions and gestures. Do not be offensive online because any message you send could be saved or forwarded by its recipients. You have no control over where it goes.
Adhere to the same standards of behavior online that you follow in real life. You should be ethical. If you encounter an ethical dilemma in cyberspace, consult the code you follow in real life. And breaking the laws is bad Netiquette. If you're tempted to do something that's illegal in cyberspace, chances are it's also a bad Netiquette. Some laws are obscure or complicated enough like the laws on privacy and copyright that it's hard to know how to follow them.
Know where you are in cyberspace. Because Netiquette is different in different places, it's important to know where you are. Thus, lurk before you leap. When you enter a domain of cyberspace that's new to you, take a look around. Know what others who are already there act. Afterwards, go ahead and participate.
Respect other people's time and bandwidth. You are not the center of cyberspace. Don't expect instant responses to all your questions and don't assume that all readers will agree with or care about your arguments. If you want to send a message like a quote or a joke, ask yourself whether they really have to know. If no, don't waste their time. If maybe, think twice before sending.
Make yourself look good online. Take advantage of your anonymity. Networks let you meet people and none of them see you. You won't be judged by your physical appearance. However, you will be judged by the quality of your writing. If an older adult, you don't have to take a "bonehead grammar" course. Instead look for courses on proofreading and copy-editing. Know what you're talking about and make sense. Make sure your notes are clear and logical. It's better to keep it simple. Finally, be pleasant and polite. Don't use offensive words that can hurt someone.
Share expert knowledge. Don't be afraid to share what you know. It's polite to share results of your questions with others.
Help keep flame wars under control. Tact is not its objective. Netiquette does not forbid flaming. It only forbid the perpetuation of flame wars.
Respect other people's privacy. A lot of people nowadays would read the e-mails of other people. Failing to respect other people's privacy is not just bad Netiquette. It could also cost you your job.
Don't abuse your power. Some people in cyberspace are wizards in MUDs, experts in every office and system administrators in every system. Knowing this does not give you the right to take advantage of others.
Be forgiving of other people's mistakes. Whether it's a spelling or grammar error, a stupid question--be kind about it. Having good manners doesn't give you license to correct everyone else.
These are the rules that I follow to be considered as a responsible Netizen.

Labanan ng mga diyos-Clash of the Titans Review

Courtesy of IMDB.com
